Already, the first baby foxes, squirrels, wild rabbits, and birds have been brought to the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center "Luana's Dream" in Bucharest. To meet the expected influx of young animals, a SUST team is already prepared to assist the local team with raising and caring for these animals this spring.
Please remember, if you happen to find a young animal in the near future: Not every baby animal needs rescue! Often, the mother is nearby, waiting to return to her young. Even if you are certain that a young animal is orphaned or injured, it's best to contact a wildlife expert (wildlife station, bird observatory, squirrel or hedgehog station) before taking any action. Otherwise, avoid touching the young animal and move away from the location as quickly as possible.
SUST has been supporting "Luana's Dream" for many years. In addition to funding various construction projects, it fully covers the care for orphaned and injured young animals through the Orphan Wildlife @ Wildlife Rehabilitation Center "Luana's Dream" project.
