“I have known Susy Utzinger for many years now. Her tireless work, which she dedicates to the welfare of animals with unmistakable passion, is unparalleled and admirable. I was particularly struck by her commitment to the Bluemoon Animal Center in Egypt. Starting in a private apartment in Hurghada, this project has established itself as a leading animal welfare initiative in Africa. Despite considerable dangers, the SUST team worked tirelessly to build the center, enduring almost superhuman hardships. The focus was primarily on small animals. Neutering, veterinary care for injured animals, and treatment for endo- and ectoparasites were all carried out on-site. However, large animals were not neglected either: dental treatments, tear duct flushing, and urgently needed wound care were performed on numerous hoofed animals.”

The SUST team also provided their own vital water supply and numerous food donations, ensuring the animals' survival. Countless rabies vaccination campaigns were also successfully carried out and financed by SUST.

All this and much more has shown me, as a dog owner, that the SUST organization still deserves full support through donations!

I am proud to know Susy Utzinger!

"Animals lack a voice, and the Susy Utzinger Foundation gives it to them. This is urgently needed, because animal neglect or even cruelty happens daily in various forms, and we can no longer tolerate it. It's wonderful that the Susy Utzinger Foundation is making a significant contribution to combating animal cruelty and standing up for our four-legged friends, protecting them. I can only express my respect for all the dedicated people of this foundation. THANK YOU!"

"When I read on her homepage that Susy Utzinger is by no means just a kind of modern Heidi Abel, but that with her foundation she is practically working around the clock to improve the quality of animal shelters and animal welfare projects at home and abroad, organizing and restructuring them, and actively participating in the development and further training of experts, I had to say: Hats off, that woman is really something!"

"Animals depend on people, on good and well-trained people who can provide them with a species-appropriate life. That's why I support the Susy Utzinger Foundation for Animal Welfare."

“I myself own two rescue dogs and know how much these animals depend on good care and shelter in emergency situations. This help for animals in need is only possible thanks to non-profit organizations like the Susy Utzinger Foundation for Animal Welfare. Animal welfare doesn't happen at a desk, animal welfare doesn't adhere to office hours, and animal welfare is hard work – I hope that the Susy Utzinger Foundation for Animal Welfare will continue this work for many more years.”

"Anything that protects animals must be supported. Unfortunately, animals have a position in our society that I cannot condone – they are considered property under the law, which I find appalling. Animals are living beings that we must respect. It is important that there are people who speak out about this and make others aware of the animal suffering that occurs – even here in Switzerland. That's why I am happy to help raise awareness."

"We humans do not live alone on this planet. We all realize this quite early in our lives – but sometimes we forget it in between."

For 25 years, the Susy Utzinger Foundation for Animal Welfare has been committed to respecting and promoting the well-being of animals within a growing sphere of influence. This is thanks to Susy Utzinger herself – and her dedicated team.

That personal commitment can have such a lasting positive impact is remarkable – and deserves our recognition!

I congratulate you – and all your supporters and sponsors – on this great achievement and wish you, on behalf of all animals, many more responsible and successful years.

Because, unfortunately – as we all know – there's still a lot to do! So: Keep it up! And maybe even a little more…»

"I admire your work, your tireless dedication and fight against the neglect of our dearest companions... the animals in our society, as well as in nature. You have my absolute respect and admiration for this."

Keep it up... we need people like you.

A heartfelt THANK YOU to you and your team.

“Animal welfare concerns each and every one of us and begins at home, right on our own doorstep. It is up to us to pay attention and take action whenever animals are suffering. Thank God there are animal welfare organizations, animal shelters, animal lawyers, and people like Susy Utzinger and her team who do fantastic work and dedicate themselves to the well-being of animals every single day!”

I take my hat off to such dedicated people and offer my heartfelt congratulations on your 15th anniversary. It would be wonderful if one day you were no longer needed. However, that will probably remain wishful thinking, so I wish you all the best and much energy for all future projects and challenges!

"I often draw conclusions about a person's character from how they treat an animal. The correlation is usually striking."

Throughout my many years working in the media, I have always been impressed by Susy Utzinger's tremendous dedication to animals in need. Her concrete and direct help stems from deep conviction and love for animals. Furthermore, Susy Utzinger is also an outstanding organizer and doer who calmly and purposefully realizes her projects. Thank you for everything, dear Susy. You deserve another 15 years of support and recognition.

“Animal welfare must be borderless,” Susy Utzinger declared years ago. Her words were not enough; action soon followed. Thanks to her, her foundation has developed into a network spanning continents. For this, and also for her commitment to animal welfare in Switzerland, I congratulate Susy Utzinger most sincerely.

“Dear Susy, dear SUST team,

What an anniversary – 25 years of the Susy Utzinger Foundation for Animal Welfare!

A quarter of a century of "animal welfare with heart and mind" – that's not just your slogan, it's something you and the whole team live by every single day with tireless dedication.

I congratulate you from the bottom of my heart on this long-standing and successful commitment to the welfare of animals and wish you continued energy, enthusiasm, perseverance and dedication for our four-legged friends for the next 25 years!

"Congratulations to the Susy Utzinger Foundation for Animal Welfare on its 25th anniversary! Your extraordinary work for animals in Switzerland and around the world is an impressive example of how much heart and dedication can achieve. For over 125 years, we at Hiltl, as the oldest vegetarian restaurant in the world according to Guinness World Records, have shared your passion for the protection and well-being of animals, offering healthy enjoyment for everyone. We wish you continued success!"

"Dear Susy and friends, you have all been doing a fantastic job for 25 years. I am deeply moved by how many people work for the foundation and the dedication they bring to it. You have already achieved so much, and countless animals no longer have to suffer: because of you. And all of this done with heart and mind."

"Compliments! Thank you for your work! Congratulations on the anniversary!"

"Animal welfare is not a sprint. It's a marathon and requires incredible perseverance."

The team at the Susy Utzinger Foundation for Animal Welfare is supported by people with admirable perseverance. One can only marvel and be grateful.

“Dear team, dear Susy Utzinger,

We congratulate you most sincerely on your 25th anniversary and say "thank you soooooooo much" for your outstanding work in protecting our animals. I too have a beloved pet, my "Caroline," whom I have cared for and cherished for 50 years. And you do the same with your animals, and we think that's simply wonderful.

We wish you strength so that many animals continue to thrive, thanks to the wonderful work you always do.

My wife Ruth and I raise a glass with you to another 25 years and say once again a big "Thank you" for 25 years of the Susy Utzinger Foundation.

"Animals are part of our society and we absolutely must treat these living beings with respect. A huge thank you and much praise to the Susy Utzinger Foundation! It's wonderful how you advocate for animals!"

"I would like to extend my warmest congratulations to the Susy Utzinger Foundation for Animal Welfare on its 25th anniversary."

The central message of my music, which I have been singing for many years, is love for all beings, the protection of our environment, and peace in this world.

So, in addition to the ancient Tibetan mantras, I also sing prayers for the well-being of animals, because without them, humanity would never have survived. We owe them so much, and therefore they deserve our protection and our appreciation. A big "thank you" to all the people and organizations who have a big heart for animals and work tirelessly for them.

"Imagine caring for someone who thinks differently from everyone you know. Someone who doesn't understand our language, who interprets every word or cue differently. Someone who forgets a lot and has to relearn things again and again. Someone who needs to be proactively taken to the toilet and always has to be waited for until they've finished. Someone who often hides in the furthest corner of the room in their anxiety attacks, making communication virtually impossible. Someone who, neglected, fought for survival in their final days, was abused and mistreated, often so severely that the damage leaves its mark until the very end. Someone who requires an above-average amount of patience and empathy."

This is the issue Susy Utzinger and her team face when caring for neglected animals. Anyone who witnesses the selfless dedication with which they do this can only express their deepest appreciation. Moreover, considering that SUST has been actively involved in this work for 15 years, their efforts and Susy's dedication deserve our utmost respect.

"I congratulate you personally and the Susy Utzinger Foundation for Animal Welfare on your 25th anniversary. Your work is incredibly important, both locally and internationally, has a fantastic reputation among people, and benefits animals everywhere. Keep up the great work!"

"Respect! 15 years and not a bit tired! Susy Utzinger is one of those people who are living their dream. And it is precisely these people, who pursue such a task with this motivation, who will be crowned with success. Success in this case doesn't necessarily have to be measured in francs and centimes; here, it's about lives and souls. Animals show us their affection, but they have no 'voice'. Susy Utzinger and her team give animals such a 'voice' and the opportunity to live with dignity and have a species-appropriate and natural future. Respect is paramount in our coexistence – be it among people, between humans and animals, or between humans and nature. Susy leads by example with this respect, and I have the utmost respect for her unwavering commitment! I am already looking forward to supporting Susy in some way and following her admirable work! Thank you so much for everything you and your team do for our animal friends!"

"I offer my heartfelt congratulations on the 15th anniversary of the Susy Utzinger Foundation and would like to take this opportunity to thank all the foundation's volunteers who, with great dedication, give animals a voice and continually strive to ensure their well-being. Thanks to the foundation, countless animals both in Switzerland and abroad have found shelter and received the necessary medical care. In Switzerland alone, 140 animal shelters and animal welfare projects have been supported by the foundation's work."

What touches me most as a self-confessed animal lover is that many animals in seemingly hopeless situations are given a new chance and a foundation for a new, better life. I wish the Susy Utzinger Foundation continued success and joy in its work with the furry friends of this world, who are so important to me, for the next 15 years.

"I've known Susy Utzinger for many years, and I've rarely met people who pursue a goal with such motivation over such a long period and dedicate themselves to helping the vulnerable. For Susy, the vulnerable are animals. She has dedicated her life to them. They, who are lost without us humans and our affection, need a lot of help. They find it with Susy Utzinger and her team. With her, the abandoned, the written-off, and the discarded find a new home. Support Susy so she can continue to help animals with her many projects!"
