The heavy rainfall of the last few weeks has clearly shown it: In the farm animal enclosure of our SUST shelters in Galati (Romania) There is no solid foundation. As soon as it rains, the terrain turns into a mud pit – and this has serious consequences.

For our employees, constantly working in the mud is an enormous physical strain. Heavy wheelbarrows, feed and materials have to be laboriously transported through the mud every day – often pushing them to their limits.

The shelter needs a solid area directly in front of the barn in the farm animal enclosure, where deliveries can be safely unloaded.

From this spot, a paved path will begin, leading from the campsite to the feeding station and will be used several times a day by the staff.

These measures are crucial to ensure that the shelter team can perform its valuable work safely and efficiently.
