What is Lino dreaming about right now?
Probably from a better world where every living being is treated with love and respect.
Dear Lino, unfortunately, we cannot make this dream come true. But believe us, good people still exist. Because it is only because of good people that you are still alive today.
Lino had swallowed a piece of string while playing. One end got stuck under his tongue, while the other was being carried by his intestines toward his anus. This caused the string to become taut inside his body and cut into the intestinal wall like a knife, which would sooner or later have led to a life-threatening intestinal perforation. Only two options remained: emergency surgery or euthanasia.
As so often happens, Lino's former owners were unwilling to pay the high costs of the complex operation – after all, it's "just" a cat. They signed a waiver and left Lino at the veterinary clinic.
Because Lino is still very young and an operation promised his complete recovery, Lino underwent surgery immediately.
With complete success: The little patient got better day by day afterwards.
We are very grateful that the veterinary clinic made this decision despite the significant risk of being left to bear the costs alone. Therefore, with your help, we would like to cover part of the cost of Lino's surgery. This will greatly increase the chances that veterinarians will continue to say "YES!" to life in the future and that no animal will have to die for financial reasons.
Donations marked "Lino" will be used directly for his treatment costs. If more money is raised than is currently needed (approximately CHF 3,000), we will use the surplus for other cats in need in Switzerland.
