Neuter feral cats – stop killing unwanted kittens

In many parts of Switzerland, there are feral cats that belong to no one and give birth to kittens twice a year. Normally, these kittens also become feral and no one cares for them – ultimately, such cat colonies are often killed using cruel methods.
Therefore, it is not enough to simply feed such cat colonies or individual feral cats – real animal welfare means catching feral cats, having them neutered and then (if possible) releasing them back into their familiar surroundings (and continuing to care for them).

The Susy Utzinger Foundation for Animal Welfare continuously supports active animal lovers who want to neuter homeless cats.

The following fall under the pillar "Cat Sanctuary Campaigns Switzerland":

  • Management of the SUST CatForce: Organization and implementation of cat neutering campaigns
  • Collaboration with veterinarians throughout Switzerland for cat neutering campaigns
  • Assumption of castration costs for livestock on farms and feral groups
  • Rental of cat and dog traps
  • Brochure «Cat neutering = active animal protection»
  • Raising public awareness about this topic through posters and leaflets
  • Food donations for feral colonies and farms
