In the seminars and webinars of the SUST Academy, animal welfare activists and other professionals learn the principles for handling and caring for animals, as well as for managing animal shelters and animal welfare projects. This enables them to approach animal welfare issues not only with great care but also with expertise, finding sustainable solutions.
Some courses are also open to pet owners and animal lovers. SUST subsidizes them to keep prices low.
Anyone participating in an overseas deployment must first attend a handling course, a seminar on basic veterinary knowledge, and the webinar "First Aid for Dogs and Cats." These courses are free for SUST volunteers.
