Every year, numerous pets end up as gifts under the Christmas tree. However, the joy for the recipient is often short-lived: Before the ski holidays, many of these animal surprises become a burden and are hastily given away, abandoned, or, at best, handed over to an animal shelter.

To remind everyone that it rarely turns out well to gift someone with the responsible task of pet care without their consent, it is important to raise awareness about this issue.
