They are much more exposed to the risk of life-threatening heatstroke than humans. Do not go on strenuous bike rides. Especially not at lunchtime. If you do, then choose cooler morning or evening hours, preferably along water or on shady forest paths. Dogs' body temperature rises very quickly into a dangerous range due to the movement and heat. Take breaks, be considerate of your dog, check your four-legged friend's pads and take water with you for Buddi.
If you keep a few things in mind in summer, the outings together will also be a pleasure for your "sparring partner" on four paws.
