The snow is providing us with wonderful walks, but ATTENTION dog owners! Keep an eye on your four-legged friends in the snow. While most dogs handle the cold much more easily than we do and even enjoy eating snow, ingesting snow can lead to inflammation of the stomach lining (known as snow gastritis). The cold can also be unhealthy for dogs if they cannot move around outside. Therefore, it is crucial not to tie dogs outside in winter and not to leave them waiting in a parked vehicle for too long.
