Good news from the OAH Moreni!

August 2024

Not all the news we receive from our SUST Orphan Animal Hospitals is positive. Unfortunately, we also have to report on this from time to time. Many street animals around the world are still battling highly contagious diseases that are very difficult or impossible to treat. We are all the happier when news like Oscar's reaches us. The brave Viking (affectionately nicknamed by the team at OAH Moreni in Romania) has won the "battle for his life"! "He survived a terrible case of parvovirus and just when we thought he had no chance, Oscar started eating. Although he has lost a lot of weight and his little sister has died, Oscar has made it. Now we see him every day to change the dressing for a mysterious wound (we suspect maggots are responsible, as sick animals are often infested by maggots, especially in summer). He is an absolute angel, so calm and gentle, despite his ordeal." With your help we were able to give sweet Oscar the best possible care. The special parvo virus treatment and now also special wound dressings that allow new, healthy skin to grow back. We are very hopeful for Oscar and thank you for allowing us to continue the fight for Oscar's life together.
