Christmas time is cuddle time,

December 2024

Pine needles can be swallowed.
Water from the Christmas tree stand can lead to poisoning.
Tinsel and decorations can lead to dangerous intestinal obstructions.
Wax candles pose a risk of burns.
If you don't want to do without a Christmas tree:
Opt for an artificial tree.
Secure the tree firmly to prevent it from falling over.
Use artificial candles and cat-proof tree decorations.
Make sure you don't use tinsel!
Extra tip: Christmas scents such as orange or clove are usually unattractive to animals and can help to keep velvet paws away.
You can find more tips for a cat-safe household in our free guide “Beware of cat traps” in the SUST store!
