Small patient at the SUST Orphan Animal Hospital in Hurghada

November 2023

This tiny little chick was sitting helplessly and meowing loudly in pain on a street in Hurghada (EG) when it was found by a kind-hearted person and brought to the SUST Orphan Animal Hospital. The x-rays showed a fracture of the left hind leg. Because the little one was still so young, our vets came to the conclusion that she did not need an operation. A plaster cast was sufficient to immobilize the leg until the bone had grown back together.
The kitten was allowed to stay with her finder until she was fully recovered.
Many thanks to all animal lovers who make the professional treatment of injured and sick street animals possible!
