Tackling the problem at its root...

June 2024

In Switzerland, far too many unwanted kitten litters are still being cruelly euthanized. Farmyards, allotment gardens, and private households can quickly become overwhelming, which is why SUST-CATFORCE was established. While conducting neutering campaigns is a vital part of SUST-CATFORCE's mission, their support doesn't end there. True animal welfare involves continuing to support these cats and their caregivers after neutering campaigns.

Last week, a SUST-CATFORCE team was deployed to relocate 7 cats from a private household to 2 different SUST partner animal shelters for adoption. Now, out of the original 90 cats, 19 remain on-site. We will continue to care for these indoor cats and find suitable placements for them. All of this is possible thanks to your ongoing support for one of Switzerland's "hidden" animal welfare challenges.
