700 laying hens saved...

July 2023

Every year, nearly 4 million laying hens are killed in Switzerland because they are molting.
Molting is a recurring process in which the hens change their feathers every year. When a hen is molting, she no longer lays eggs, after which the laying performance is usually lower. That is why the discarded laying hens are replaced with pullets.
However, since these "discarded" hens can still live on, we provide them with new places to live.
AND the 700 hens we placed on July 15 have all already arrived in their new homes!
You can read more about this in the article from Zürcher Unterländer www.zuonline.ch/700-hennen.
THANK YOU to all helpers, buyers for the effort and YOU for helping ACTIVELY with your donations and by sharing our posts!
Your commitment saves lives!
