Help animals

The activities of SUST

All over the world, countless animals in overcrowded shelters live sadly or struggle for their survival in wild colonies. Day after day, even today, animals that have become inconvenient are still abandoned, deported or mistakenly kept for lack of better knowledge. The Susy Utzinger Animal Welfare Foundation contributes with effective means to the fact that animal suffering can be reduced or even prevented sustainably.

This animal welfare work is based on four pillars:

1. Competence Centre Animal Shelter: Animal shelters become high-quality transition stations for homeless animals, where animals are kept and promoted in a way that is appropriate for their species and finally transferred to good new places.

2. Neutering campaigns: Braking the animal misery

3. Education and training of specialists: Specialists are given the opportunity to optimise their knowledge and improve animal welfare.

4. Education of the population: love of animals with heart and mind

These four elements form the important basis for sustainable animal welfare projects.

Those animals that are not yet able to benefit from the effects of this reconstruction work and have been born into a world where they are not wanted need the emergency aid of SUST.

Many thanks to the veterinary practice Rothenburg AG for taking in “Neo”

August 2024

It feels like kittens are appearing everywhere at the moment, as if out of nowhere.
Nobody knows them, nobody knows where they come from or who is responsible for them being born. Many of them need immediate veterinary help.
But if there is no owner to be found, who pays the bill?
To ensure that veterinary practices are not left alone with the often very high costs, our SaveMyLife project covers part of the costs for the medical treatment of found cats whose owners cannot be found within a reasonable period of time.

This was also the case with this tiny animal, which was found all alone on the Oberkirch LU golf course. He was dehydrated, malnourished and hypothermic.
The Tierarztpraxis Rothenburg AG took the sweetie into their care as an emergency case.Fortunately, he was stabilized overnight and is already doing much better. He already has a new home in prospect, which will suit him well.
Many thanks to
- the Rothenburg AG veterinary practice for taking in “Neo” and for the cost-effective
care of the little one and
- the finders of Neo for taking care of him and the new owners who will give him a good home.
   him a good home.
- and of course a huge MERCI to all our sponsors.
